Pertemps are recruiting for an Estimator to work with our manufacturing-based client based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
 
Our client has a strategy to create a consumer driven company with top class sales and marketing. Marketing over 20 strong brands, they employ over 4000 people with a turnover of £490M.
 
As demand for our trade supply of products continues to increase, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a full time Estimator, for their successful, customer focused and highly regarded business, that operates across 2 manufacturing sites, in Northamptonshire and the West Midlands.
 
As an Estimator the position will be based at our Corby site and will become an integral addition to the existing team. Previous experience in a similar role is not essential, but preferred.
 
General Responsibilities:
  • To co-ordinate customer enquiries from initial contact through to successful completion of the quotation
  • To complete quotations by due dates (and within 24 hours)
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate enquiries, including being Technical Support and contact person for the Initial estimation stage
  • Generate estimates and quotations using software packages
  • Submit the quotation to the customer, following up in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in co-ordination of receipt of orders / deliveries and sign off
  • Ensure effective liaison between Operations / Finance and Sales Departments
  • Build relations with Technical Departments of system suppliers for Technical/problem solving resolutions
  • Assist the Customer Service Manager and Administration as being office contact for new and revived accounts
  • Assist Customer Service Manager and Administration in increasing opportunities to achieve increase in new accounts
