- Used twin spindle Lathes, live tooling in the x and z axis and lathes with XYZ and C axis
- Understanding of G and M codes to complete online edits during a set up
- Understand wear offsets and ability to change inserts while job is in WIP
- Have an understanding of Fanuc controls
- Attention to detail (selecting tooling, faultless set up, Right First-Time inspection process and notice defected components during WIP)
- Proven experience as a CNC operator/setter/programmer
- Skilled with an understanding of operating workshop machinery, tooling and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and engineering drawings
- Computer literate with an understanding of computer programming
- Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Team player with ability to take on individual tasks as required
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
