Regional Operations Director - Gound Maintainance / Midlands Region An excellent opportunity has arisen with an enterprise level ground maintenance organisation who deliver their services to some of the UKs largest operations within both the public and private sector. These are multi million pound contracts and cover a range of external ground maintenance services. We are recruiting for a Regional Operations Director to deliver an exceptional high quality, best cost service to their clients and ensure the entire team are demonstrating their values whilst driving towards their divisional objectives. Your focus will be to support the strategic growth of your region by ensuring that you build a sustainable operational platform with the capacity to deliver additional revenue as opportunities develop.Role and Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of the Grounds Maintenance divisions priorities, objectives, and actions
  • Operational mobilisation for larger clients with Operation Support Team and as appropriate alongside Account Directors
  • Working closely with key clients and developing sustainable relationships
  • You will ensure we balance opportunities generated with the skills, capability, and resources available within the business
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing process and procedure where required
  • Working closely with Business Development departments to ensure the right work is being won and developing operational capabilities to meet changes in the market place / in support of delivering the business strategy
  • To actively champion our social, environmental and sustainability agenda
  • Deputise for the National Operations Director as and when required
  • Oversight of regional P&L including but not limited to management of personnel, Field Team, procurement, hire and fleet costs
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to think strategically and align and connect day to day operations and decision making with wider overarching business objectives
  • Experience in P&L management at a Contract and Regional level
  • Demonstrable experience of ensuring adherence to health and safety criteria for self and wider team
  • Effective direct Client liaison and ability to navigate contractual issues
  • Day-to-day management of people and where appropriate, proactively manage under performance and take steps to improve and resolve
  • Experience of working with operational management systems and a proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional relationship skills, with a proven track record of building influential and trusted relationships with a range of senior stakeholders
  • Ability to recognise results in quantitative as well as qualitative terms whilst delivering against KPI’s
  • Highly resilient, and able to prioritise and work flexibly to balance business requirements with commercial drivers and priorities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and is energised by ongoing change and the opportunity to build in an environment with limited existing processes and infrastructure
  • Ability to recognise opportunities for sustainable revenue growth through contract variations, business unit cross sell and new business development
