Production Engineer / CNC Programmer Setter– Days - £38k
Our exclusive client are a long established ,machining company who supply precision components into the automotive sector. Due to a retirement they are looking for an experienced CNC Production Engineer to work alongside their engineering department and to support the shopfloor.
This role could suit someone who is currently working as a Production Engineer in a subcontract machining environment or a fully skilled CNC Machinist who is looking to progress into an off tool’s role.
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate all or most of the following skills and experience
- Apprentice trained time served CNC Machinist
- Fully able to read drawings and customer standards.
- Able to programme and set CNC Lathes with live tooling from scratch at the machine
- Involvement with shopfloor process issues and process improvement
- Ordering of new tools for NPI projects.
- Liaise with customers
