Your new companyOur client is a leading national insurance law firm, who is looking for a talented Occupational Disease Lawyer to join their industry-leading team. They offer excellent hybrid flexibility, a competitive and an excellent benefits package.

Your new roleThis Occupational Disease lawyer role will see you manage your caseload of pre-litigated and litigated mesothelioma claims following the Civil Liability Act 1978. Recoveries are sought from employers and occupiers where necessary. This role will see you conduct legal investigations, restoration or corporate entities and issuing proceedings. This is a client-facing role with the opportunity to develop relationships. You will have the opportunity to grow a small tea focusing on a recovery product for insurer clients. There is a supervisory element to this role where you will be required to manage and develop assistants. You will be asked to review medical evidence and personnel records, instruct counsel/experts and deal with disclosure.

What you'll need to succeedYou should be a qualified solicitor or CILEx, however, non-qualified candidates may also be considered. Previous experience managing your own caseload of occupational disease files is beneficial, particularly mesothelioma experience. Strong litigators with experience of personal injury looking to develop a career in Occupational Disease are encouraged to apply as tere is the potential for a retrain.
