Maintenance Operative Cradley Heath £24,000 - £31,000 (Dependent on experience) Full Time – Permanent

Our wonderful, established client is looking for someone to provide effective setting and maintenance support for all machines and site maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the Company.  Supporting the operations and R&D functions as required and undertaking maintenance requirements including setting and training to maximise production and resources. Therefore, supporting the ongoing transformation of the business.

Person Specification

  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Problem solving / fault finding.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience
  • Hydraulics, pneumatic and robotics experience (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Team leads to ensure the efficient and effective operations of site and machinery maintenance a to drive Company performance.
  • Deputise for the Team Lead, as necessary.
  • Coaching, mentoring and development of staff to support workforce planning activity.
  • Utilise IT to manage and order stock and liaise with all stakeholders and equipment Service specialists.
  • Drive performance and improvement within own team and across the wider company.
  • Plan and project manage ad hoc projects within the area of responsibility.
  • Support the Research and Development work and working with the Team Lead to implement robotics within operations.
  • Ensure a proactive approach to Health, Safety, wellbeing and the environment of our employees and local community.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Team and Health and Safety Officer and be creative and innovative with suggested improvements.
  • Supporting the Team Leads to ensure equipment is well maintained to facilitate thorough Inspections (Lifting, Pressure and Ventilation) as and when required.
