Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal parts to create high-quality products. Key responsibilities include mechanical maintenance and installation, welding, and fabrication on a broad range of equipment, including hydraulic systems.

Duties Include:

Mechanical fitting using engineering drawings and technical specifications
Working on precision parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
Performing final tests and commissioning on partially or fully completed systems
Raising non-conformance issues
Meeting set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments
Ensuring products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
Maintaining high standards of health and safety
Installing, testing, and repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves

Role Requirements:

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
Proficient in using hand tools, grinders, and drills
Experience with a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components

Skills Required:

Demonstrated experience using various engineering equipment
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
Previous experience working with hydraulics
Engineering Apprenticeship qualification within a manufacturing/engineering environment or a relevant recognized qualification (or extensive industry experience)
