Production Supervisor
Location: Cramlington
Salary: £33,000 + Shift Allowance
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Initially Day Shift Monday to Friday, Changes to 2 Shift System 6am-2pm & 2pm-10am.
Travel to Wembley for training is essential for this position.
An established and forward-thinking electronics manufacturing company is seeking a self-motivated and driven Production Supervisor to play a pivotal role in its state-of-the-art centre of electronics excellence. The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will oversee mechanical, automated, and hand assembly cells, ensuring all processes run efficiently, meeting order targets while upholding the highest standards of quality. They will be responsible for leading a production team, maintaining process equipment, and ensuring effective communication across all relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the shift, including staff management, production targets, and quality assurance.

Attend regular production planning meetings.

Monitor and update production work orders.

Measure and report on production performance and related issues.

Ensure clear communication across all levels of the team.

Manage, develop, and motivate both direct and indirect reporting staff.

Enforce health and safety regulations at all times.

Work closely with team leaders to ensure seamless production handovers.

Play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Assist in identifying and addressing training needs.

Support periodic stock takes and stock control processes.
The Ideal Candidate:

Highly organised, able to prioritise and multitask effectively.

Experienced in electronics manufacturing, testing, and hand assembly.

Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Strong time management and project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with individuals at all levels.

Ability to advise on operational changes with confidence and professionalism.

Competent in Microsoft Word and intermediate Excel, particularly spreadsheets.

General understanding of ERP/MRP manufacturing software (e.g., Sage, Syspro, SAP).

Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.

Analytical thinker, able to assess complex situations and make well-balanced decisions.
