We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team, providing care and education for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 5 to 19. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and are committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to students with ASD and SEN, ensuring their educational and personal care needs are met.
- Assist with personal care tasks for students, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Support students with communication difficulties and manage challenging behaviours in a calm and safe manner.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a supportive educational setting.
- Engage in a comprehensive week-long induction program to fully prepare for the role.
- Complete all necessary checks and verifications to begin work.
- Embrace a probationary period with the view to becoming a long-term, valued member of staff.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving license due to the school’s location.
- Strong commitment, a positive attitude, and resilience are essential.
