Our client is the UK’s leading independent scientific group, providing laboratory analysis to the agriculture, food, and environmental sectors. We are excited to announce that due to cover being required in the business, we are supporting the company by recruiting a talented, career-minded individual to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join the team on a fixed-term basis who operates with excellent attention to detail and demonstrates high levels of customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to flourish in a fast-paced environment, someone with strong administration experience, and a willingness to work in a team-based customer service-focused company.

The role:

  • Act as the first point of call for any enquiries over the phone and email
  • Support with orders that are coming through from customers to be sent the same day
  • Completing stock checks and purchasing new stock items to ensure levels across the site are sufficient
  • Maintain electronic and manual filing systems with excellent attention to detail to ensure that all paperwork is correctly stored
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure that accurate data is entered into the system for company-wide reporting
  • Ad hoc administrative support for the wider teams as and when needed

The person

  • Strong organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritise under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT savvy with a proven track record of working on systems and databases
  • Experience in taking payments would be advantageous but not essential
  • Works well as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to pick up new skills quickly
