A dynamic and forward-thinking accountancy firm is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to grow with the firm, take ownership of their work, and enjoy career progression in a vibrant and collaborative setting. Preparation of year-end accounts (FRS 102 1A and FRS 105), management accounts, and VAT returns
Assist with corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
Prepare working papers and ensure balance sheet reconciliations
Handle CIS returns, payroll, and pension submissions
Engage with clients on cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext)
Deliver client advisory services including budgeting and cash flow forecasting
Build and maintain strong client relationships with owner-managed businesses
Keep current with UK accounting and tax legislation

The Ideal Candidate:

AAT qualified or part-qualified/newly qualified ACA/ACCA
2–3 years’ practice experience
Confident communicator with a client-first attitude
Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
Skilled in using cloud-based tools (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
Comfortable working independently and proactively
Must be a driver due to office location
