Semi-Senior Accountant Crawley – up to £38,000 + great benefits, including 4 day week! Join a Fast-Growing, Tech-Driven Practice! A dynamic and forward-thinking accountancy firm is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to grow with the firm, take ownership of their work, and enjoy career progression in a vibrant and collaborative setting. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a modern, digital-first environment where cloud technology, automation, and client-centric service are at the heart of everything.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of year-end accounts (FRS 102 1A and FRS 105), management accounts, and VAT returns
  • Assist with corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
  • Prepare working papers and ensure balance sheet reconciliations
  • Handle CIS returns, payroll, and pension submissions
  • Engage with clients on cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext)
  • Deliver client advisory services including budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with owner-managed businesses
  • Keep current with UK accounting and tax legislation
The Ideal Candidate:
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified/newly qualified ACA/ACCA
  • 2–3 years’ practice experience
  • Confident communicator with a client-first attitude
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
  • Skilled in using cloud-based tools (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively
  • Must be a driver due to office location
