Operations Coordinator

Monday – Friday

8 am – 5 pm (preferably)

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum

I am currently recruiting for an operations coordinator with a strong customer service/administration background to join a friendly and fast paced team.

In this position you will be required to carry out a range of varied tasks such as processing and following up on orders/quotes via email and over the phone so having a good telephone manner is essential.

Key duties:

  • Processing orders, following up on quotes, upselling and cross selling
  • Data inputting into various systems to keep track of customers accounts, passing queries onto the correct department
  • Be responsible for the main day to day operations of the business following processes to see orders through from enquiry to completion
  • Maintain records by gaining relevant information including job stage, who places the order, price levels of materials, delivery requirements etc
  • Be the first point of contact for all orders and schedule changes to new and existing customers
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers by email, telephone and resolving queries
  • Use company/industry knowledge to upsell to customers where appropriate
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction of current services
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers

Desirable experience:

  • Experienced within customer service/administration
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written
  • Organisation and planning skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office skills such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
