Reed Accountancy are currently assisting a well established client in the Crawley area who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their existing team.  As Finance Assistant you will be a key player in managing financial transactions and delivering premium service to a diverse group of stakeholders. This role is perfect for someone with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for financial health and compliance.

Day to day duties of the Finance Assistant:

  • Posting and allocating cash as well as performing associated reconciliations.
  • Processing and raising bills, and chasing outstanding actions.
  • Maintaining accurate cash books and reconciling bank statements.
  • Resolving discrepancies promptly and supporting the preparation of month-end processes.
  • Banking and processing cheques, and liaising with internal and external clients regarding outstanding invoices.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and execute projects that enhance value and support the standardisation of finance processes, controls, and procedures across the organisation.
  • Producing and maintaining user documentation and contributing to user training programmes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation with an understanding of stakeholder impact.
  • Meticulous and accurate with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Good IT skill set, with proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
