Financial Accountant

We have been engaged by a multi-national organisation that is looking for an ambitious Financial Accountant to work closely with their current Financial Controller, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory and legal standards. This role involves collaborating with department heads to enhance processes, systems, and reporting, thereby improving efficiency and effectiveness across the business.

Day to day of the role:

  • Assist in preparing monthly accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and monthly journals.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions.
  • Contribute to the financial performance monitoring of the company, providing ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Foster strong internal relationships with senior managers and team members within the business and regional offices.
  • Support the year-end statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors.
  • Complete reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts to ensure alignment with underlying systems and records.

Required Experience:

  • Started studying for CIMA or ACCA
