This is a part time role.
Reporting to the CFO, the Group IT Manager will provide full IT security and technical oversight for the group. This is a hands-on role and you'll need to be happy providing all levels of support to a small user base. There's some significant project work to get involved with.
This is a fully involved role where you;ll neeed to pivot between high level strategy and basic 1st line support. Responsibilities will cover:
• Develop IT strategy and policy.
• Administrator for all systems. Supervising daily operations of network and server infrastructure.
• Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
• Maintaining IT risk register.
• Documentation of all systems, including the Datawarehouse.
• Understand and test how to recover data in a DR scenario.
• Work towards key accreditations such as Cyber Essentials/ IASME.
Strategy Planning
• Responsible for strategic IT planning and secure safeguarding of company’s IT infrastructure/security by providing advice and solutions to CFO, ELT, and wider management team.
• Set the strategic IT direction of the company by evaluating new technologies/tools to lead transformation initiatives and defining objectives in line with this.
• Liaise with external third-party IT providers/suppliers to establish policies, best practices, and team workflows for CFO/ELT sign off before implementation.
• Support the company and all employees with IT change management projects to maximise the success of business IT security and growth.
• Scope out and implement stress testing of systems/ IT processes/controls and recommendations for CFO/ELT to implement into business continuity planning.
Collaboration
• Work closely with other employees to embed IT function/initiatives.
• Identify IT/technical training needs of employees and help provide training and guidance advice to develop IT compliance/security.
IT Process, Policy & Procedures
• Responsible for keeping company IT spend in check, helping with setting/managing budget of all IT related costs, and supporting decisions about how the spend company money on IT.
• Manage all IT systems to ensure they are compliant and used effectively.
• Evolve existing IT processes and controls, create, and implement additional processes and controls as required in conjunction with CFO/ELT.
• Create, develop, and implement all IT procedures necessary for IT scope.
• Review, develop and implement IT Policies & training.
