Job description

In this role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

- Overseeing cost analysis and financial tracking of industrial design and build projects
- Ensuring projects are completed within the stipulated budget without compromising quality
- Preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs from subcontractors
- Advising on procurement strategy and contractual claim management
- Valuing completed work and ensuring timely payments
- Monitoring project cash flow and financial forecasting
- Leading a team of surveyors and offering mentorship to junior staff
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and site managers to ensure smooth project execution
- Conducting risk assessments and cost control strategies
- Ensuring compliance with construction industry regulations and standards

Required experience

- A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- A minimum of 2 projects as a lead surveyor, particularly design and build projects
- In-depth understanding of construction processes and cost management
- Proficient with quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
- Strong negotiation skills and an eye for detail
- Outstanding leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
