Site Agent / Civils Site Manager - Motorway - Emergency Refuge areas
Site Agent Civils Site Manager National Highways is set to upgrade 11 more sections of smart motorway with extra places to stop in an emergency. Earlier this year, the government cancelled plans for any new smart motorways, due to cost pressures and the lack of driver confidence. A further 11 locations have now been announced for additional emergency refuge areas on existing and under-construction smart motorways - these include

M1 junctions 16 to 19 in Northamptonshire - 19 Emergency Refuge areas
M1 junctions 23a to 25 in Leicestershire & Nottinghamshire - 6 Emergency Refuge areas
M5 junctions 4a to 6 in Worcestershire - 10 Emergency Refuge areas

3 separate teams 3 Agents required

This is a great opportunity for long term freelance works on days - Earthworks and Drainage. This is one of my favourite contractors to work with, professional and good culture call me for a chat as I have been working with these guys for 15+ years.

Work is earthworks, services locating and drainage improvements. There will be other site management functions allocated by the Site Management team including keeping daily/weekly records and submitting of RAMS,SHEQ and cost associated documentation.

Experience:

Proven experience working within a live Highways environment
Ability to read and understand drawings and specification
Have an understanding of Permit Systems and to produce permits to Work
Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately
Undertake record keeping of daily activities and any deviations of contract scope


HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or associated discipline
SMSTS
CSCS card
Idealy with first aid
