- Oversee the month-end process ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and cash flow.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of financial results, performing variance analysis versus Budget and Prior year, and analyse Balance Sheets to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support. This includes conducting annual appraisals, managing workloads, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Take ownership of statutory reporting requirements including Statutory Accounts, Annual Returns, Tax submissions, and VAT for the UK and other markets.
- Collaborate with the UK Financial Controller, EMEA Accountant, and EMEA Controller on ad hoc tasks and analysis as required.
- Assist with audit requirements, ensuring compliance and cooperation throughout the audit process.
- Liaise with other markets regarding intercompany recharges, resource allocations, and other related matters.
- Willingness to engage in additional tasks such as revenue analysis, bookings reporting, and supporting Budget processes.
- Part-Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in EMEA and/or Global accounting operations.
- Proficient in tax regulations including UK tax submissions, VAT rules, and trading regulations with other markets.
- Previous management experience, audit background, and proficiency in additional languages are advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and numeracy skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with ERP and financial consolidation systems; NetSuite experience is advantageous.
