We are currently recruiting for a Lift Inspector on behalf of our public sector client based in Croydon.
The role will provide technical leadership and knowledge to the Lift aspects of the compliance team.
This is a contract role, initially for 3 to 6 months and is paying up to 250 per day Umbrella. The role offers hybrid working, with at least 2 days in the office/on site in Croydon.
Key duties will include:
- Verify installations
- To authorise works
- Undertake and record lift inspections
- Respond to lift outages
- Ensuring that communications to residents are suitable and timely
- Evaluating risks to residents of lift outages and responding accordingly with mitigation action
- Managing lift refurbishment programme
- Evaluating and deciding on variation requests both pre, during and post works
- Providing challenge when required to contractors
- Provide auditing of works
- Checking servicing contractors' invoices in compliance
Key skills required:
- Experience of working in a lift service and maintenance operation in a decision-making position
- Knowledge of the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS7671 ideally backed by relevant qualifications
