SecOps - Security Consultant join excellent program, ideally with active SC and NPPV3 clearance.

The position is based in South London with the option to work remotely from home (WFH) on a 'hybrid' basis of 2-3 days/week onsite with flexibility to travel within England is required. Start asap, ideally in June/July 2024.

A chance to work with a leading digital transformation business on large-scale IT modernisation programmes for government clients.

Key skills, experience + tasks will include:

  • SecOps Security Consultant working with SecOps Lead , responsible for ensuring that security procedures are maintained in compliance with the Government Security Classifications framework, are continually improved and developed in accordance with good practice, legislative change, client policies and procedures.
  • Expertise in supporting secure government cloud Migration / Transformation projects.
  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance of security operating procedures (SyOps) and information security management policies.
  • Experience in investigating security breaches, in delivering security training and awareness initiatives.
  • Must hold certifications in information security i.e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), NCSC IA Architect / SIRA (Senior) or ex-CLAS (current or previously held)
  • Experience of using Agile project delivery toolsets: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, CI/CD.
  • Contributing to certificate management ceremonies, reviewing digital access requests and supporting Joiner/Mover/Leaver process and reviewing Technical Implementation Plans
  • Undertaking the design of required security controls for new projects or application services.
  • An understanding of public cloud security controls and accreditation processes.
  • Understanding of other relevant legislative compliance aspects (GDPR)
  • Supporting pre sales activities in defining information security response to potential UK Government clients.
  • Ideally hold active SC and NPPV3 clearance (or eligible to undergo clearance process).
