Are you an experienced IT professional with a strong background in technical support, leadership, and infrastructure management? We are seeking a Senior IT Technician or IT Manager to lead and support IT services within a dynamic and fast-paced environment—ideally with experience in the education sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of IT operations, manage systems across multiple platforms, and contribute to the strategic development of digital infrastructure within a purpose-led organisation.

?? Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support IT infrastructure including networks, hardware, and software systems

  • Lead a multidisciplinary IT team, providing guidance, mentoring, and strategic direction

  • Implement and maintain systems including Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune/Azure AD, Arbor, and Admin Portal

  • Manage conflicting priorities with a solutions-focused mindset, ensuring efficiency and value-for-money

  • Support digital safeguarding, data protection and security policies

  • Provide technical support and advice to all levels of the organisation, including end-users and senior leadership

  • Contribute to and lead project management activities and IT initiatives

? Essential Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science or related field

  • Proven experience in a senior IT technician or engineering role

  • Strong ICT skills and technical knowledge of Google Workspace, Intune, Azure AD, network and security systems

  • Exceptional organisational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Experience within the education sector or with special educational needs environments

  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritise and manage workload effectively

  • High level of personal initiative and ability to work independently

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships across all levels

�? Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience in managing budgets, vendors, and procurement

  • Background in leading recruitment, training, and development of IT staff

  • Project and change management experience

  • Knowledge of data system architecture and integration

  • IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.)

  • Experience supporting special educational needs (SEN) environments

  • Ability to drive and willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours commitments
