Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate stimulating activities that support children’s learning and development, catering to individual needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date learning journeys for key children, ensuring parents and carers are well-informed.
  • Role model high expectations and maintain a committed and enthusiastic approach to both children and junior staff members.
  • Foster a love for the outdoors and nature, exploring the environment and encouraging outdoor learning.
  • Support and facilitate mealtimes using a ‘family meal’ approach to promote social skills and healthy habits.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through observations, handovers, and direct messages.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers of children with additional needs to ensure their successful inclusion.
  • Work with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for all children.
  • Take responsibility for your designated room or area, maintaining resources and suggesting improvements or purchases.
  • Actively pursue personal development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Early Years Educator or similar role.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Passionate about outdoor education and the benefits of learning in natural settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
