Position: School Finance Officer
Location: Dagenham, RM10
Role: Temp to Perm
Rate: 16.45 per hour (FTE annual salary, 30,003 - 33,957 per annum, spinal point 12-20 depending on experience)
Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (term time only)
Start Date: 22nd May 2024

Duration: 6-8 weeks (possible perm contract at the end)

Our client is a three form entry Primary School based in Dagenham who are rated 'Good' via Ofsted.

They are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to take on the responsibility of the day to day financial & HR administration of the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional looking to develop their career in a rewarding new role. The successful candidate should have excellent organisational and communication skills as well as the ability to work efficiently on their own and effectively as part of team.

Previous experience of working in a school/education environment is essential for this role. The role would initially be on a temporary basis for 6-8 weeks however if the spell is successful you will be considered for the permeant recruitment of the role.

The Role

To provide Finance and HR administration support to the School Business Manager and Head teacher and contribute to the smooth running of the school office.

Experience & Qualifications

Demonstrable working knowledge of the principles and methods of financial control, reporting and the financial software and systems required to achieve this.

Proven track record in financial, business and administrative experience

Experience in operating computerised financial systems.

A strong administrator with experience of working in a school office environment

Excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office and databases

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly nature
Previous experience working in a school.
Relevant accountancy qualification isn't essential, but would be advantageous.
