Day Operator

Salary – £30,407.16 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week

As a Day Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of Millerhill RERC facility.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week on a shift rota Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 6.30am to 9.00pm.

What will you be doing?

- Assisting with the daily intake of vehicles through operation of the weighbridge and tipping hall
- Ensuring all waste deliveries are recorded, weighed and dispatched efficiently
- Providing high levels of customer service to all site users
- Carrying out inspections on delivered waste
- Operating overhead cranes, Mechanical Treatment Plant, front loader machinery, road sweeper, and forklift trucks
- Completing reports
- Assisting with maintenance activities across the site

What are we looking for?

- Experience working in an operator role in a heavy industrial environment
- Experience using overhead cranes, mechanical plant, front loader machinery, road sweepers, forklift trucks and weighbridge
- Experience working within a diverse operational team and a wide range of work areas
- Experience with site monitoring and inspection with regards to safety, environmental impacts and maintenance including completion of documentation and reports
