Cleaner

Berry Recruitment Darlington are currently recruiting for a full time Cleaner for one of our clients based just outside the Darlington area.

Own transport is essential for this role, as the location is out of town.

You must be able to drive and have your own transport, you will need to drive between offices onsite (Onsite car will be available).

Position: Cleaner

This is a Fixed Term Contract up to and including October 2024.

You MUST be able to drive as this location is not on a public transport route.

Working hours are -

Monday - Friday

8.30am - 4.30pm

You will also be required to work some Saturday's & Sunday's which will be paid at x1.5, time off during the week will be given if you have worked Monday-Sunday's.

The ideal candidate must also be able to work some weekends in accordance with business needs.

This is a fast paced business where you will be expected to manage your own time effectively, it is a very large site which is open to the public at least once per week.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Clean, tidy, vacuum, sweep, empty bins and remove rubbish, wash windows (inside and out) of all buildings including main office building, garages, medical centre, and media room.

• Clean public toilets (including replenishing stocks of paper)
• Remove rubbish from all site areas.
• Clean shower blocks.
• Check offices and gate house are clean and clear of rubbish, Ensure all buildings and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.

Requirements:

• You must have at least 2 years of cleaning experience.
• Able to manage your own time.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Be able to work some weekends, in accordance with business needs.
• Have your own transport.
• Understand that a large part of your role will be cleaning public toilets.

£11.94 per hour, you will initially have a one-week probation period, if you are successful, you will then be paid monthly.

Weekly pay for basic hours will be £447.75 per week (Gross) plus any overtime worked.

You will be paid PAYE, meaning you will also accrue paid holidays as you work.
