?? Financial Accountant | Hybrid Working | Kent Goldhawk Associates is partnering with a forward-thinking organisation in Kent to appoint a talented Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of fixed asset and balance sheet accounting within a dynamic finance team.You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive environment, playing a key role in ensuring robust financial controls, technical compliance, and high-quality reporting across the group and its subsidiaries.?? What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead the monthly balance sheet reporting and oversee all fixed asset activities including capitalisation, disposals, depreciation, and grant accounting
  • Manage and support a small team of two, promoting professional development and continuous improvement
  • Act as the technical accounting expert, advising on compliance, policy changes, and financial decision-making
  • Own the preparation of key financial statement areas and liaise with auditors for both internal and external audits
  • Be the lead on all tax-related matters, including preparation, submission, and advisory (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
  • Deliver regular forecasts and budgets for fixed assets, depreciation, and asset sales
  • Maintain robust reconciliation processes and ensure control frameworks are consistently followed
  • Contribute to financial systems upgrades and optimisation projects
�? What We’re Looking For:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in financial accounting with a strong technical background
  • Excellent understanding of fixed asset accounting, tax regulations, and compliance standards
  • Confident working with complex reconciliations and financial systems
  • Strong communicator with an ability to translate complex accounting topics for non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in leading or coaching junior team members is highly desirable
