Our client is looking for an ambitious and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our busy Bluewater Shopping Centre location. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow within a forward-thinking, supportive company.

As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Head Chef, leading shifts, and helping to inspire a passionate team. If you're driven, creative, and ready for the next step in your culinary career, we'd love to hear from you.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation

  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Support menu development and contribute creative ideas, with a focus on freshness and authenticity

  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards

  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff

  • Support stock control, ordering, and waste management

  • Help ensure smooth, efficient service during busy periods



Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up

  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume kitchen

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Passion for fresh ingredients and producing high-quality dishes

  • Experience with Spanish cuisine is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and experiment is equally valued

  • Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices
