Sous Chef

Im currently working with one of my standout clients: a well-established, independent gastro pub in South East London, renowned for serving exceptional, seasonal food in a relaxed but high-quality setting. This is a brilliant opportunity for a talented Sous Chef who wants to work with great produce, a supportive leadership team, and a kitchen that genuinely cares about standards.

As Sous Chef, youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently outstanding food.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Head Chef in leading a busy, food-led kitchen

• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

• Assisting with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients

• Managing and mentoring junior chefs

• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation are always on point

My client is looking for someone who:

• Has experience as a Sous Chef (or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up) in a gastro pub or quality restaurant

• Is passionate about fresh food and modern British cooking

• Thrives in a fast-paced but well-structured kitchen

• Is a natural leader with a calm, professional approach

• £45,000 £50,000 salary (depending on experience)
