ROLE:                  Junior Buyer / Purchasing - EngineeringLOCATION:      Clitheroefuture relocation to Junc 4 Darwen July/August 2024           Growing as a global engineering manufacturer throughout UK, Europe and US. They have established and continue to build a leading reputation for quality and reliability serving Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Chemical and High Value Industrial industries. This growth business leads a group of 4 successful brands with a combined global turnover of $140 million.We are currently searching for a Junior Buyer / Purchaser specialising in Engineering products and parts to support the customer experience purchasing items to aid new designs, new builds and repairs.The company culture is one that is positive, warm, welcoming, and driven. Collaborating closely with customers is key, communicating with them throughout the design and testing processes.Junior Buyer / Purchasing - Engineering - Key skills:
Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key.
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Positive work ethic.
Engineering Degree or similar experience is advantageous, but not essential.
Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for either Manufacturing/ Food/ Confectionery / Pharmaceutical /Agricultural / Paint/Bakery or Building industries.
3 year industry experience in purchasing or buying ideally from engineering or manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Exposure to Epicore software is complementary but not essential.
Strong Excel and Word skills.
Balance many tasks at the same time.
Attention to detail.
Positive attitude and manner.
Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship.
Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.Â
Junior Buyer / Purchasing - Engineering - Role:
Support and improve the purchasing activities for the business. Making sure availability and continuity of products at the best possible price.
Strong negotiation.
Cross Functionally support teams with estimating for products.
Cost reporting. Identifying trends.
Source prospective suppliers and build strong relationships with current suppliers.
Work to production schedules.
Manage efficient stock levels.
