A global business have a newly created role for a HR Assistant to join their rapidly expanding team on a 12 month contract. With the potential to go permanent this positions offers ample career progression, hybrid working and opportunities for study.

Supporting the Head of HR this role is well suited to an ambitious HR professional seeking a challenging new role.

This position is pivotal in the day to day running of HR and will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the HR systems ensuring all details are kept up to date including new starters and leavers.
  • Assist in all aspects of HR administration in line with data protection and employment legislation.
  • Provide support to the Head of HR across strategy projects to improve the service to the organisation.
  • Managing maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and flexible working agreements
  • Assist in the recruitment process
  • Assist in the onboarding process, producing contracts of employment, following up all documentation and ensuring that all on boarding processes are correctly administered including referencing.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with and co-ordinate the activities of external suppliers (including employment agencies and online job boards), negotiating rates where appropriate.

The successful candidate:

  • A minimum 12 months working within HR and/or administration positions
  • Experience of working within a generalist role with experience of improving processes and systems will be an advantage
  • Experience of payroll will be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with a real desire to progress
  • Experience of working in fast paced environment
