Our dynamic client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with a robust understanding and a proven track record in managing the maintenance of buildings, services and equipment.

Our client are a world leading, innovative formulations and manufacturing company based in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

The role:
Under minimal supervision perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Maintain and improve facilities.

Site Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Manage external contractors carrying out maintenance work on site - induction, permit-to-work, monitoring performance
  • Identify improvements to buildings, services and equipment - carry out design, fabrication, installation and commissioning work within scope of capabilities
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Assist Health & Safety with statutory inspections and regulatory compliance
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility
  • Request Purchase orders from purchasing department for materials required
  • Source new suppliers for maintenance services or products
  • Control maintenance budget and spending
  • Report and maintain repairs and projects in internal electronic systems
  • Direct and delegate workload to maintenance personnel

Site Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing requirements:

  • Experience in multi-skilled maintenance work
  • Experience in organising & dealing with contractors
  • Experience in electrical work
  • Experience in plumbing and water system maintenance
  • Able to manage own workload and work without supervision
