The Opportunity

B-Tech AV Mounts are looking for a new member to join the Technical Sales Team at our global head office in Daventry, Northamptonshire. B-Tech, a 50-year old company who design and manufacture mounting solutions for professional AV equipment, work closely with a number of well-known technology brands and are recognised worldwide as a key provider of innovative mounting solutions to the professional AV, CCTV. Broadcast and Systems Integrations industry.

Working as a key part of the in-house Technical Sales Support Team, you will receive in-depth product training thus allowing you to assist in the specifying / quotation of numerous audio visual mounting solutions to key accounts.

You will be responsible for responding to customer requests in a timely manner via the company website, inbound e-mails and assisting both the internal and external sales teams.

You may also be required to attend company exhibitions, which B-Tech do numerous of each year (in both the UK and overseas) to assist with both assembly of and manning the stand during the show.

The Person

This role will suit a determined and confident person with a strong work ethic who will be looking at developing themselves and their career. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for technology and enjoy the opportunity to learn about and work with a variety of AV equipment. You will be a self-motivated, organised multi-tasker that enjoys a varied workload, is willing to travel for events and exhibitions. You will be a practical person, who enjoys problem solving and is comfortable getting hands-on with our products, using household tools (drills, screwdrivers etc.) to assemble and mount them onto walls, floors or ceilings.

Key Duties

·Technical sales support to the internal and external sales teams and their customers

·Handling live ‘chat’ customer enquiries via the company website

·Assisting in company events and exhibitions

·Providing support to other departments / holiday cover including sales order processing

·New product training for staff and customers

·Other administrative or written tasks as required

Essential Skills

·Competent using a PC and Windows OS including Outlook, Excel and Word

·Good understanding of mathematics with excellent spelling and grammar

·Confident telephone manner

·Meticulous attention to detail

·Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

·Comfortable using household tools such as screwdrivers, drills and Allen keys

·Some heavy lifting required (some products and exhibition equipment is large and quite heavy and requires sufficient strength to lift and install)

Desirable but Non-Essential Skills

·Experience of using 3D drawing programs such as SolidWorks

·Being able to speak other languages

·Knowledge of Sage software

·Strong Excel Skills and comfortable with Pivot Tables, Vlookup
