Sales Manager – Derby – £53,000 - £58,000We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, innovative organisation based in Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Sales Manager. The purpose of this role is to seek and secure the winning of profitable engineering contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role. Sales Manager responsibilities:
  • Managing customers’ expectations and securing profitable contracts
  • Defining and managing the processes associated with enquiry management
  • Ensuring that project concepts and plansare produced, communicated, and understood by the other areas of the business
  • Taking responsibility for assigned accounts and customers
  • Where agreed take the leadand be the customers key point of contact during the proposal and sales phases
  • Understanding and managing risk (technical, commercial, financial and programme)for project proposals to protect the company
  • Meeting sales targets for profitability, revenue and other relevant KPIs
  • Working closely with theDirectors and Management team to set and maintain the direction and strategy for the department to meet business targets and KPIs
  • Producing business plans and acquire market knowledge to increase sales opportunities and profitability
  • Ensuring that deadlinesset by customers and the organisation are achieved
  • Managing your own development, knowledge acquisition and sharing of information whilst mentoring other team members
Key requirements and preferences:
  • Very good communication and organisation skills, ability to confidently present and negotiate with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Able to demonstrate the desire and determination to exceed performance targets
  • HND qualified or equivalent
  • Extensive commercial and technical experience from similar industries and roles
  • Be technically and numerically competent, with an analytical approach.
  • Proven track record of success working within a sales/proposal’s environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
