About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of a 38-bed residential care home in Derby. The home provides care to adults with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities, with a focus on dementia and end-of-life care. You'll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high standards of care, manage staff, and maintain a supportive and safe environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Home Manager with overall home operations and ensure CQC compliance.

  • Lead and supervise care staff, providing training, support, and performance reviews.

  • Oversee care planning, medication management, and provide end-of-life care as needed.

  • Maintain high standards of care, conduct audits, and prepare for inspections.

  • Manage day-to-day operations, staff rosters, and contribute to budgeting.

What We're Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

  • Experience in a senior care role (ideally Deputy Manager or Senior Carer)

  • Strong leadership, hands-on care approach, and knowledge of dementia care

  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding

  • Driver with access to a car
