Eaton Syalon, in exclusive partnership with one of the East Midlands' leading employers, is seeking a technically adept Accountant to join as a Statutory Reporting Manager. In this role, you'll collaborate with our client's dynamic Statutory Reporting team, taking ownership of financial statement preparation for both UK and non-UK listings within the group, along with producing analysis and a range of external reports. This position offers exceptional insight into external reporting requirements, along with opportunities to expand your technical expertise and forge productive relationships with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing Group financial statements, interim financial statements, and associated analysis.
  • Provide support in interpreting new technical accounting standards and disclosure requirements, effectively communicating all updates to the business.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Governance team and External Auditors, on UK subsidiary statutory accounts.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors regarding subsidiary statutory accounts, addressing technical queries and supporting business contacts as needed.
  • Handle financial accounting and reporting for group pension schemes, including preparing disclosures for interim/annual accounts and journal entries, ensuring alignment of overseas inputs.
  • Coordinate and review forecast submissions from the statutory reporting team.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
