The company are a Derby based firm with National Coverage. They handle all types of Painting and Decorating Projects from values of £1,000.00 up to £1,000,000.00.Their Projects greatly vary and include all types of commercial buildings, maintenance works, industrial works and retail works.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Managing Estimator you will be responsible for providing quotations for the large range of Painting Enquiries the company receives. This will involve being both Office Based and carrying out Site Visits. General duties will include the pricing of Bills of Quantities/Schedules of Rates, carrying out Take Offs from Drawings provided and putting together well presented and competitive tender packages for the required date. Site visits will involve meeting Customers and carrying out site measures or assessing the labor resources and materials required to Quote for the job at hand. You will be required to establish good relationships with their customers and suppliers and will also be involved in strategically following up your Quotations to secure Projects, working alongside their QS team to monitor their existing workload and with the compilation of monthly reports. This Role carries a high degree of autonomy, and you will be a pivotal and key member of our Team.

QUALIFICATIONS / PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Successful applicants will be analytical, organised, and honest with the ability to communicate effectively with their clients, trade teams and immediate colleagues. Proven experience of pricing and working in the sub-contract finishing trade industry and strong IT Skills will be essential. The role will suit those who will relish the responsibility and high degree of autonomy they will gain from working alongside an excellent team of Surveyors in a Company with a proven track record.
