Are you a skilled Substation Primary Layout Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? My client is seeking a talented individual like you to join our team in the UK! Here's your chance to work on electrical substation projects up to 400kV voltage and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work independently and collaboratively with our team to ensure projects meet quality, timing, and profitability targets.

- Produce high-quality design drawings for Grid and Primary substations.

- Prepare technical specifications and designs for substation upgrades and new projects.

- Conduct feasibility reports, cost estimates, and layout designs.

- Review designs to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.

- Participate in Design Review Meetings and contribute valuable insights.

- Collaborate with designers and CAD technicians to meet drawing requirements.

- Interface with other disciplines such as Civils, Protection, and HV engineers.

Quality Systems and Health & Safety:

- Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards.

- Prepare QA, environmental, and safety documentation.

- Operate within quality assurance policies and relevant IMS Documents.

- Identify and manage health and safety risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation and AutoDesk Revit (Desirable).

Experience:

- Experience in HV and EHV substation design.

- Knowledge of engineering standards and technical policies.

- Experience with IDNOs, DNOs, or ICPs and relevant standards.

- Exposure to substation cable design and protection.

- Experience with new substation projects and network reinforcement.

- Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
