We are looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor to join a friendly and supportive HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support schools across the Trust, providing a professional and people-focused HR service that really makes a difference.
The role:You'll be part of a collaborative HR team supporting a portfolio of schools across Derby, Sheffield, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Working closely with school leaders, your day-to-day work will include:
- Advising on a range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and performance
- Supporting safer recruitment, onboarding and compliance checks
- Attending formal meetings, taking notes and guiding managers through HR processes
- Contributing to policy development, training delivery and HR project work
- Producing reports and ensuring accurate record-keeping using Trust systems
- Providing guidance on HR best practice, supporting change processes, and assisting with recruitment and induction
This is a hybrid role, with most of your time spent working from home and regular visits to schools across the region as required.
About you:
- Experienced in a generalist HR role, ideally with exposure to education or multi-site environments
- Experience with absence management and note-taking in meetings this is essential
- Qualified to CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it)
- Confident in providing advice to managers at all levels and building strong working relationships
- Skilled in managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- IT confident, especially with MS Office and HRIS platforms
- A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for travel to schools.
