A multi-billion global business has a new opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a small division of the business based in Derbyshire. This position is a newly created role due to the increased workload. You will be working with a small friendly team, where they support each other within the company. The post offers fabulous career opportunities, working alongside some leading names in the Utilities sector. They offer hybrid working options with bonuses, 26 days holiday + bank holidays, matched pension up to 10%, Company Commercial Vehicle (small Toyota van), 37.5 hour working week, and Medical Cover.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:

  • Producing process design deliverables, including mass balances, PFDs, process calculations, and additional process documentation as required.
  • Reviewing of both process and other engineering documents, with a focus on ensuring the design is suitable for the commissioning phase of the project.
  • Responsible for process commissioning and audit work by the provision of technical support across the full range of products and systems
  • Lead process commissioning site-based activities, where you will solicit guidance, advice, and assistance from Control Systems Engineers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, whilst directed by the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for both Environmental and H&S considerations when on-site, ensuring all relevant risk assessments, method statements, and the undertaking of all relevant legislative training requirements.
  • Will operate as the face of the company on customer sites and build relationships and partnerships with their external customers as well as internal colleagues.

Requirements of the Process Engineer:

  • Degree qualified in either Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • Previous experience working on Waste Water Treatment systems is required.
  • Experienced Process Engineer with some site-based commissioning work experience is highly desirable.
  • Flexible in traveling to sites throughout the UK.
  • Proficient in P&ID and process calculations.
  • Confident nature and comfortable dealing with the customers face to face.
