The Role:We are looking for a motivated and skilled Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. In this temporary role - with the potential to become permanent - you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while supporting the academic and personal development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and respect.

  • Participate in departmental planning and meetings, contributing to curriculum development.

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support individual progress and wellbeing.

Minimum Requirements:To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of teaching Maths in a secondary school, with a solid understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: Proven classroom management skills and experience in differentiated instruction. Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.

  • DBS Check:

    • All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
