The Role:We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. This temporary position - with the potential to become permanent - will require you to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' academic progress, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

  • Assess student progress, set clear targets, and provide feedback to aid development.

  • Create an inclusive, safe, and inspiring classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with science department staff and participate in departmental meetings.

  • Maintain communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student success.

Minimum Requirements:To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of teaching Physics in a secondary school, with solid knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Training: Strong behaviour management and lesson differentiation skills. Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all abilities.

DBS Check:All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service.
