The school is part of a very successful academy trust and has a team of senior leaders who have been at the helm for a number of years. The school has excellent provisions for SEND pupils and you will be well supported in the role.

The role will be full time and on a fixed term contract for the entirety of the 24/25 academic year. The role will be supporting SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis and delivering small groups. The hours of this role will be 8:30-3:30 and the school are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least one years' experience working in a school
  • Possesses a good understanding of additional needs within school
  • Can show empathy towards pupils
  • Can demonstrate good behaviour management
  • Will be able to build strong positive relationships with the children

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis who present with additional needs
  • Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
  • Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around progress of the pupils
  • Assisting the class teacher with preparation of lessons
