Would you like to have a major influence in the way our railway network is maintained, and help make significant long term cost savings to Network Rail, and the taxpayer?

Would you also like to be involved in major railway projects and schemes across the UK?

The Civils & Infrastructure Division at Ford & Stanley Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with Network Rail to source a Senior Asset Engineer to join their newly developed Evaluations Team.

The Role

Network Rail are seeking a Senior Asset Engineer to join their newly developed Evaluation’s Team in Eastern Region. The reason this role has been created is to help NWR move away from purely reactive renewals, and to take a long-term, holistic view of their portfolio of around 2(Apply online only)0 structural assets, including bridges, tunnels, and culverts.

The successful candidate’s goal will be to create a whole lifecycle plan for their portfolio of structures, managing risk, and helping prioritise and create the work bank for CP7 and beyond. Our candidate will achieve this by collaborating with, and successfully integrating, the Examinations, Maintenance, and Renewals teams.

They will be reviewing inspection reports, scheduling new assessments (if further information is required), putting forward their recommendation of actions, and ensuring this information is collated within their Asset Management Database.

The Opportunity

This role is one of the most varied roles you could undertake at Network Rail, and no two days will be the same.

You will work with a high degree of autonomy, and your decisions will play a crucial role in keeping our railways safe. Not only that, but those decisions could result in huge cost savings for both Network Rail, And the taxpayer, on a long-term basis.

This role is perfect for someone looking for a role where they can have real, measurable influence, not just within this organisation, across the UK Rail Industry as a whole.
