An exciting opportunity for an individual with Technical/Quality management experience, gained within a food manufacturing environment.聽
Reporting to the site Operations Manager and responsible for a small team the aim of this role is to manage and coordinate the on-going technical integrity of all processes and products produced, ensuring compliance to the Company's Quality Management System for both own manufactured products and those sourced from third parties. You will be responsible for ensuring all recognised food safety standards are always met. The successful candidate will need to be confident in assessing and managing technical risks, ensuring the NPD process is managed efficiently, and all customer requirements are met. In addition, managing and developing the Environmental Policy and processes will be a requirement.
This role is hands on and varied - it will range from cooking trials, goods in checks and internal audits to talking to international customers and regulators.

It is essential that you have experience within the FMCG, food or drink sector.

Key Responsibilities of the聽Quality Manager will include:
聽
路Develop and maintain the on-site quality management system to ensure continued BRC/GFSI accreditation
路Liaise with the various food standard bodies e.g. BRC, Halal, Soil Association, FSA, EHO and international authoritative bodies
路Lead, motivate and develop the quality team
路Act as HACCP team leader, maintaining the site HACCP system for both products manufactured on site and those supplied by third parties
路Manage the Company supplier approval and monitoring system, undertaking supplier reviews, visits, and audits, thereby maintaining the Supplier Assurance Programme
路Provide technical input and communicate the investigation and resolution of product non-conformities
路Manage and monitor customer complaints and investigations to comply with quality performance targets
路Manage the Specifications team to ensure that the development of new product launches is done in a timely and legal manner
路Assist with NPD and Process Development on new and existing products.
路Manage the Goods-In Lab Analysis process
路Manage and develop the site environmental policies.
路Develop the ERP system to leverage further efficiencies.

Quality Manager聽 Qualifications and experience:
路Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology or comparable
HACCP and Auditing (internal/external) qualifications
路Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of ideally BRC or similar GFSI accreditation
路Experience of BRC site accreditation and retailer visits/audits
路Experience and understanding of Export Regulations

This role is commutable from Bath, Chippenham, Warminster, Devizes, Trowbridge, Swindon and may suit a candidate that has previously worked as a Technical Manager, Technical Supervisor, QA manager, Quality Manager, Quality Systems Manager, Technical Team Manager
