About the Team:

Join Wiltshire's dedicated East Support and Safeguarding Service, where we work with children, young people, and their families from early help through to permanence. Our team is structured to provide robust support, featuring. We are committed to helping all Wiltshire families thrive and seek a like-minded, experienced Social Worker to join our team. If you share our vision, you can look forward to:

  • A 'One Journey' Model: Stay with the child from the front door to permanence if required.
  • Diverse Casework including referral and assessment, leading on Child in Need and Child Protection plans, and supporting legal processes for securing permanence.
  • Protected Caseload, managed using a case weighting tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans.
  • Lead on Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
  • Support legal processes for securing permanence for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and key workers.
  • Participate in reflective supervision and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in referral and assessment casework, Child in Need, and Child Protection plans.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
