My client is an AIM listed commercial property business who are recruiting a Finance Controller. You will be a motivated, technical, and numerate qualified accountant who wants to become an important member of a AIM listed Finance team. This role will develop your skills in stakeholder management, business analysis and effective decision-making. You will own and deliver in several areas across reporting and be involved in various ad-hoc projects around transactions and restructuring. You will join the team, led by the CFO, responsible for preparing internal and external results, statutory and management reporting, and board reports. This role is an excellent platform to build your career in a blue-chip organisation and move quickly into more senior roles in the future.

Working closely with the CFO and CEO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the preparation of Group and subsidiary financial statements, efficient and accurate reconciliation of all financial transactions and answering queries and questions from the wider business. The role will also have full responsibility for Property accounting. The role will require knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 16) and will include regular collaboration with various external consultants; therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.

You will be a motivated, technical, and highly numerate qualified accountant looking to utilise their accounting knowledge, take on significant responsibility quickly in a high-profile role, and develop a technical edge to their skill set.
