- Support the design, manufacture and testing of low-fidelity models and full systems
- Work with technical leads to develop CAD/CAM models and drawings for parts and sub-assemblies
- Design and characterise jigs and fixtures used in testing and production
- Build development models, breadboards and support testing campaigns as required
- Create and write Manufacturing and Assembly Procedures (MAPs) for manufacturing operations
- Review and approve engineering drawings as part of the MAIT workflow
- Provide technical input during procurement alongside the Technical Buyer
- Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, safety-compliant outputs
- Identify and troubleshoot production/design issues, recommending practical solutions
- Review NCRs and support Product Assurance with technical inputs
- Stay up to date with engineering and production advancements, sharing knowledge with the MAIT team
- Create production plans for active and upcoming projects
- Analyse production methods and propose process improvements
- Proven experience in a production role within a highly regulated industry (ideally the space sector)
- Skilled with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and metrology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Effective team player with the ability to build strong internal relationships
- Proactive mindset with a structured, analytical approach to problem solving
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads across multiple projects
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial Engineering
