We are looking for a compassionate and dynamic Special School Teacher to join our thriving special school in Penarth. Our school is dedicated to nurturing every child’s potential, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for our students.

Day to day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Support the individual needs of students with a range of abilities, ensuring their academic and social development.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and professionals to promote the well-being and progress of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a special school setting or a relevant SEND qualification.
  • Proven track record of adapting teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Special Education Needs (SEN) qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Must provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Must be able to provide 5 years of referencing.
