We are delighted to be working in partnership with a very big well established client based in the East Midlandsarea with the recruitment of aPart 145 Maintenance Manager.

Role Summary

The Part 145 Maintenance Manager will oversee and is responsible for the detailed running of the Part 145 approved hangar and line maintenance facilities, ensuring the satisfactory completion and certification of all work required by staff under their control, including contracted staff in accordance with the work specification (Work Order and approved MOE procedures). They are required to monitor and evaluate all procedures to ensure standards are complied with whilst conducting all maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

The Part 145 Maintenance Manager is responsible for;

  • The satisfactory completion and certification of all work required by contracted operators/customers in accordance with the work specification (Work Order and approved MOE procedures).
  • Ensuring that the organisation's procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance. Including management and upkeep of the MOE.
  • Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance.
  • Establishing a programme of training and continuation training using internal and/or external sources.
  • Providing feedback to the Quality System about the services provided by contracted Organisations, subcontractors.
  • Responsible for responding to quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which he/she is responsible, which arise from independent quality audits.
  • Ensuring, through the workforce under his/her control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and UK CAA.
  • The implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues.
  • Developing a production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work.
  • Availability of sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect, and certify the work being performed.
  • Availability of all necessary maintenance data.
  • Recording and notify any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the author of maintenance data.
  • Providing a common work card or worksheet system to be used throughout relevant parts of the organisation and ensure such documents comply with 145.A.45 (e).
  • Notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards (Accountable Manager and Quality Manager to be officially informed of any lack of 25% of available man-hours over a calendar month).

Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:

  • 5 Years of experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role.
  • Working Knowledge of Relevant UK CAA Part 145 regulations.
  • Good computer literacy preferably with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Overview of Business processes and knowledge of using procedures as working instruments,
  • Excellent communicational skills and clear verbal and written communication in English.
  • Quality and safety driven mindset.
  • Proven Leadership capacity, strategic thinking level, motivator, and collaborator.
  • Empowerment and delegation of tasks, decisive, taking initiatives and resourceful.
  • Initiative-taking individual who can work without direct supervision.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Significant prominent level of stress threshold with the ability to manage effectively during the most pressed situations.
  • Knowledgeable with TRAX maintenance software and eMRO.
