We’re searching for a seasoned Data Analyst to join their technical data team and play a key role in supporting business operations through intelligent data insights and strategy. Salary package is iro of £45,000pa, dependant on your experience and skill set.

Location & Working Style

The head office is conveniently located just minutes from Diss Station along the main Norwich line, making commuting straightforward. The role supports a hybrid working model – offering flexibility while ensuring collaboration. 3 days in-office (near Diss Station) | 2 days WFH.

About the Role

The Data Analyst will act as a central pillar in the business, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions, uncover trends, and champion continuous improvement across all departments. From data modelling to potential team leadership, you’ll be hands-on and high-impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse activity data, spot trends, and offer insightful recommendations
  • Apply data analysis and visualisation tools (including Power BI)
  • Migrate data across various systems and ensure seamless integration
  • Build and maintain complex data models aligned with industry standards
  • Conduct data quality assurance, validation, and linkage processes
  • Create accessible, meaningful reports for all business stakeholders
  • Guide stakeholders through data content and business requirements
  • Lead the organisation's reporting and data analytics functions
  • Promote automation and self-serve data solutions
  • Identify and implement preventative measures for data quality issues
  • Analyse and forecast trends using statistical tools
  • Support and train junior analysts and end-users
  • Stay abreast of the latest in BI and analytics technologies

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree in a data-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science)
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI (including DAX)
  • Expertise in ETL, MS SQL, and Excel with VBA
  • Proven data modelling, cleansing, and standardisation experience
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate data clearly and effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Capable of independent and team-based work

Desirable Extras

  • Familiarity with Azure, Python, PowerShell, SharePoint
  • Experience with data warehousing and statistical tools (R, SPSS, etc.)
  • Background in insurance
  • Awareness of project management principles
